The Bank Job

starring Jason Statham

I have always been a fan of the “action man” in Jason Statham. He is quite the actor and the trailers prior to this movie showed almost all of his films. That is what tipped me off about this movie needing a little help to sell it as an action film. Even before it began.

This is based on a true story from the early 1970’s where the British government needed a 3rd party to steal information that would be required to keep the Royal family out of embarrassment. This story is about the bank robbery that was too take place to make this happen.

This movie started out painfully slow and in the more British tradition of action films, picked up steam and never slowed down again even to the end of the movie. It wasn’t like a traditional Statham film, but really was a good flick. It is one of those movies you might not watch over and over, but really a decent action film. I give it a 4.0 out of 5.0.
